Ingredients:
1 kg large potatoes
1 egg
200-300 g meat
Salt
Powdered all spice
Fresh dill
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup sour-cream
Choose large potatoes, wash them thoroughly, and cook in salted boiling water until par-cooked. Peel potatoes, cut one side and extract the core. Dice meat with the extracted core, add egg, chopped dill, salt and powdered all spice. Whip the mixture thoroughly.
Stuff potatoes with the filling and cover the sides. Put potatoes closely in a pot, simmer in the broth. Add a couple of tomato slices, flour and sour-cream.
With herring:
Prepare potatoes as described above. Dice potatoes flesh with herring, add chopped onion, powdered all spice, bay leaf, egg and sour-cream. Whip the mixture thoroughly. Stuff potatoes with the filling and fry potatoes in oil. Cover potatoes with sour-cream and bake in the oven
